Oro Valley Police Department receives $93,000 in grants for traffic enforcement

More than $60,000 of the funding is designated for DUI enforcement, allowing for overtime pay and new tools to help officers identify and arrest impaired drivers. An additional $32,000 will target speeding and reckless driving, with funds being used for updated radar systems and extra patrols in high-risk areas.

Arizona: State awards $250,000 grants to Surprise police

“Grant funds will be used to support and expand enforcement of impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, bicycle and pedestrian safety, seatbelt usage, child safety seat usage, motorcycle safety and citizen education.”

Pennsylvania: Grants help Union City Police Department fund security cameras, tasers

“The Union City Police Department has secured more security cameras for its downtown, plus new Tasers for its officers. And they are all thanks to funding from the Union City Community Foundation (UCCF) and local businesses.”

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis visits Arvada, presents $56,000 grant to local police for Olde Town camera system

“In early January, six cameras placed around Olde Town Arvada will allow Arvada Police officers to observe activity remotely and provide intel to their counterparts responding to calls. Aside from APD’s body cameras, this is the first widespread monitoring program targeted at Olde Town Arvada.”
