Grant writing training helps rural Fire District win fire grants, including AFG

During my career in the fire service, I was involved in grant writing and have continued to do so in my retirement. I started helping a friend, a Fire Chief for a rural fire district, with grant writing. However, our first attempts were unsuccessful.

I took the First Responder Grants video instruction course to improve my skills, but faced challenges. After that, I enrolled in the First Responder Grants online program with instructor Greg Bavis. The knowledge and support I received in this course significantly improved my grant writing abilities.

As a result, we secured several grants for essential items such as turnout gear and training props.

I am thrilled to share that we were recently awarded a 2023 AFG grant for 3 cardiac monitor defibrillators and 3 auto-pulses.

I am grateful to First Responder Grants for providing the necessary tools to succeed in grant writing, which has allowed me to help a rural fire district obtain much-needed equipment.
