Bedford Police Department Receives $81,750 State Grant to Secure Body-Worn Camera Equipment

The Healey-Driscoll Administration awarded more than $3 million in grant funds to 32 local police departments to implement or expand body-worn camera programs.

Hudson Fire Department Receives $65,029 Federal Grant to Upgrade Equipment

Hudson Fire will use the grant to replace aging firefighting hoses and nozzles. The new equipment will improve fire suppression response by allowing more water flow with less pressure, reducing strain on firefighters and making it easier to target and control the fire.

MANCHIN ANNOUNCES 298K FOR TWO WEST VIRGINIA FIRE DEPARTMENTS

Charleston, WV – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $298,303 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through the Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program (AFGP). This funding will bolster safety measures and support first responder preparedness in Lake and Leon.

Grant Will Help 59 New Mexico Fire Agencies Hire Firefighters

The $24.9 million in grant funding was appropriated by the Legislature earlier this year to offset new firefighter and EMT salaries for three years, the agency said a news release issued last week. The funding stream is similar to an appropriation for police officer recruitment and retention grants that was allocated this year, Department of Finance and Administration spokesman Henry Valdez said.

Grant hoping to put a security officer in every East Tennessee school

It marks the start of the first school year after Gov. Bill Lee passed millions of dollars in school security funding in his special-called session and in the regular session.

NR Police Dept. Awarded $148,000 State Grant for Body-Worn Cameras

North Reading is one of 32 municipal police departments to share in $3 million in state grant funding offered by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s (EOPSS) Office of Grants and Research (OGR) under the FY25 Law Enforcement Body-Worn Cameras (BWC) Grant Program, which is designed to support the planning and implementation of a police body-worn camera program or the expansion of an existing program by local police departments. North Reading’s grant is the ninth-highest awarded in the latest round of grants, which this year ranged from $1,725 to $250,000.
