Train first responders and communities in administering and distributing opioid overdose reversal medications (OORM)

The purpose of the FR-CARA program is to train first responders and communities in administering and distributing opioid overdose reversal medications (OORM).

Proposed budgets cannot exceed $300,000-$800,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project. Annual continuation awards are contingent on the availability of funds, progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, compliance with all terms and conditions of award, and alignment with SAMHSA, HHS, and Trump Administration priorities.

Agencies awarded the SAMHSA First Responders-Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act receive funds for opioid overdose reversal medications (OORM) training programs.
