$3,600,696 in FY 2023 AFG, SAFER fire grants awarded to First Responder Grants clients and students

We at First Responder Grants want to congratulate an additional 3 clients and students who have won SAFER and AFG fire grant awards! As of Sept. 6, 2024, the following Fire Service organizations are confirmed recipients of AFG fire grants under Round 9 of the FY 2023 and Round 5 of the SAFER program:

  • Wauconda Fire Protection District, IL, $339,063, portable radios, AFG
  • Lake Mohave Fire District, AZ, $144,285, cardiac monitors, AFG
  • City of Dunedin, FL, $3,117,348, hiring 6 full-time firefighters, SAFER

Combined, their awards total $3,600,696.
