GHSA, Michelin Mobility Intelligence award $300,000 to three states for advanced traffic safety data analysis
Ten states submitted creative ideas on how they would put Michelin data—which is drawn from anonymous data from more than 45 million connected drivers across North America—to use in their communities. After a competitive process, Michelin and GHSA selected California, Minnesota and Washington as grant recipients.

Ohio: 2024 CDBG Funding Applications Accepted Through May 22
The total Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds available to the City of Mentor for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 will be $162,641 or a reduction of $2,032 from (FY) 2023.

Texas: Rockwall County sheriff, DA’s office share in rural law enforcement grants
Rockwall County was among 12 North Central Texas county sheriff’s offices and 18 county and district prosecutor’s offices to receive a share of more than $9.8 million in rural law enforcement grants to increase pay for selected personnel.
The funding was made available under Texas Senate Bill 22 for counties with 300,000 or fewer residents. The Rockwall Sheriff’s Office received $500,000 in grant money and the Rockwall County Criminal District Attorney’s Office received $275,000.

Illinois: May 15 Deadline: Illinois Agencies Urged to Apply for Law Enforcement Camera Grants
In a major push towards enhanced accountability and transparency, the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) has announced an extension to the application deadline for the FY24 Law Enforcement Camera Grant.

Ohio: County sheriffs receive state drug task force grants
The sheriff’s office in Mahoning County is getting $104,269, while the office in Trumbull County is getting $90,668 from the Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund to support drug task forces.

Missouri: Wright City receives grant from state ARPA funds for police equipment
Earlier this month, the Missouri Department of Public Safety and the Governor’s office announced they would be distributing $5 million to various first responder agencies from the state’s American Rescue Plan Act funds.
One of the recipient agencies was the Wright City Police Department, which will receive $24,600 through the grant. Police Chief Tom Canavan said the department will be using the funds to purchase new computers for their patrol cars.
