FEMA GO Will Allow Non-Financial Grant Administration Transactions During Transition to New Financial Systems

Public safety grant news from FEMA

Beginning in late November 2026, FEMA Grants Outcomes (FEMA GO) and other FEMA grant management systems will transition to the agency’s new financial management system.

During the transition period, financial transactions—including payment requests, awards, budget amendments, obligations, de-obligations and closeouts—will not process in FEMA GO, Mitigation eGrants (MT eGrants), Payment and Reporting System (PARS), or National Emergency Management Information System-Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (NEMIS-HMGP).

However, FEMA GO and NEMIS-HMGP users will still be able to complete non-financial grant administration transactions, functions such as application submission, award acceptance and report submission. For all systems, users will be able to view existing information.

Action Needed Now: All grant systems users must complete time-sensitive financial transactions for grant awards by 5 p.m. ET on November 20, 2026. Financial transactions completed after that date will not be processed until mid-December at the earliest.

For additional questions during this transition, please reach out to the FEMA GO Help Desk at [email protected] or by phone at 877-585-3242. The FEMA GO Help Desk is available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, except federal holidays.
