The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced the fourteenth award round for the FY2012 Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response Grants (SAFER).
FEMA awarded $2,548,879 in Hiring Fire Grants to 14 departments. Award amounts ranged from a $27,840 recruitment fire grant, awarded to the Alexandria Fire Department, Alexandria, TN, to a $692,536 hiring fire grant award to the Burlington Fire Department, Burlington, WA.
