$10 Million Tennessee Volunteer Fire Department Grant Program Kicks off November 1
NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance (“TDCI”) and the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office (“SFMO”) proudly announce that applications will be accepted starting Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, for $10 million in grants through the Volunteer Firefighter Equipment and Training Grant Program. Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. CT.
BOULDER COUNTY OFFERS $1.7 MILLION IN EMERGENCY SERVICES GRANTS TO ENHANCE LOCAL FIRE DISTRICT OPERATIONS
Boulder County’s fire districts have a shot at beefing up their operations. A cool $1.7 million is on the line, earmarked for emergency services in the rural and mountainous slivers of the region. From capital boosts to upgrading the screwdrivers and hoses, the funds await those ready with a plan to improve response times and services. Applications rolled out by 5 p.m. on December 10 will be in the running for a slice of the financial pie, according to Boulder County.
Ezekiel Hope awarded grant to help reduce electrical fires
pilot program aimed at reducing the number of electrical fires in homes, especially during winter months. The pilot program is being funded by a $100,000 grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.
