$50,633,836 Fire Grants Awarded in Round 8 FY2015 Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response (SAFER) Grants

Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) GrantsThe Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced 43 Round 8 awards for the FY2015 Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response (SAFER). The previous award round, Round 7, was announced Sept. 2, 2016. Fire Service organizations receiving hiring fire grant awards and recruitment fire grant awards totaling $50,633,836 include:

  • $698,745, Hiring, Molalla Rural Fire Protection District # 73, Molalla, OR
  • $978,000, Recruitment, State of Wyoming Fire Chiefs Association, Cheyenne, WY
  • $1,597,820, Hiring, Antonia Fire Protection District, Barnhart, MO
  • $3,767,280, Hiring, City of Flint Fire Department, Flint, MI
  • $5,049,612, Hiring, Elizabeth Fire Department, Elizabeth, NJ
  • $9,081,950, Hiring, City of Phoenix Fire Department, Phoenix, AZ
