A hazard mitigation plan is a road map to resilience. Tribal Nations can use plans to reduce the risk of natural disasters. A FEMA-approved plan can also help Tribal Nations access certain non-emergency disaster assistance and funding.
This webinar will cover the importance of mitigation planning. It will also go over the tools and resources available from NIHB, FEMA, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help get plans started. A Tribal Nation will also share experiences with mitigation planning.
The webinar is free and open to the public. However, it is most relevant for tribal planners, emergency management professionals, and environmental health staff.
If registrants have questions or need special accommodations for the webinar, please contact [email protected].
