E/L/G 2300 – Intermediate Emergency Operations Center Functions
FEMA is pleased to release ELG 0191, G 0402, IS-2200, and ELG 2300 during the week of May 28, 2019.
- E/L/G 0191, Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command System Interface: This course is designed to enable the students to develop an effective interface between the Incident Command/Unified Command and the Emergency Operations Center by applying National Incident Management System principles.
- G 0402, NIMS Overview for Senior Officials (Executives, Elected, & Appointed): This course is designed to familiarize Senior Officials (executives, elected and appointed officials, city/county managers, agency administrators, etc.) with their role in supporting incident management within the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
- IS-2200 Basic Emergency Operations Center Functions: This course is designed to introduce the role, design, and function of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the supportive relationship as a NIMS Command and Coordination component of the Multiagency Coordination System.
- E/L/G 2300 Intermediate Emergency Operations Center Functions: This course is designed to:
- Examine the role, design, and function of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and their supportive relationship as a NIMS Command and Coordination component of a Multi-Agency Coordination System.
- Provide training about staffing, organization, information, systems, communications, and equipment needs at the EOC, such activating and deactivating, operations, as well as training and exercising.
- Focus on the role of an EOC as one of four NIMS Command and Coordination functional groups.
