The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced the thirteenth award round for the FY2012 Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response Grants (SAFER).
FEMA awarded $10,206,965 in Hiring Fire Grants to 16 departments. Award amounts ranged from a $64,460 recruitment fire grant, awarded to the Charlevoix County Fire Officers Association, Charlevoix, MI, to a $3,010,000 fire grant award to the City of Montgomery Fire Department, Montgomery, AL.
