$1,323,311 in Fire Prevention and Safety Grants Awarded in Round 6 FP&S 2014

Fire Prevention & Safety (FP&S) GrantsFEMA – Sept. 4, 2015 – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced the sixth award round for the FY2014 Fire Prevention & Safety Grants (FP&S) grants program. This annual federal program helps the Fire Service develop, implement, and promote fire safety programs in their communities.

FEMA awarded $1,323,311 to 12 Fire Service organizations throughout the US. Fire grant awards for fire safety and prevention programs included:

  • $50,659, Fire Prevention, Healthy Homes Coalition of West Michigan, Grand Rapids, MI
  • $94,627, Fire Prevention, Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department, Sandy Spring, MD
  • $124,762, Fire Prevention, Chester Fire Department, Chester, PA
  • $140,190, Fire Prevention, Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Lincoln, NE
  • $143,173, Fire Prevention, Department of Fire Services- Commonwealth of MA, Stow, MA
  • $161,621, Fire Prevention, Omaha Fire Department, Omaha, NE
  • $167,334, Fire Prevention, FireSafe Montana, Ulm, MT
