The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced the twelfth award round for the FY2013 Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response Grants (SAFER).
FEMA awarded 7 Fire grants, totaling $2,890,836, to departments around the country. Award amounts ranged from a $162,000 Recruitment grant, awarded to the North Spartanburg Fire and Emergency Services District, Spartanburg, SC, to a $832,596 Hiring grant, awarded to the Hobart Fire Department, Hobart, IN.
