The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced the fourth award round for the FY2013 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) fire grants program.
FEMA awarded $6,480,440 to 95 Fire Service organizations throughout the US. Awards ranged from a $4,750 All-Volunteer Equipment Fire Grant, awarded to the Valley Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, Danville, PA, to a $522,089 All Paid/Career Modify Facilities and Equipment Fire Grant, awarded to the City of Riverside Fire Department, Riverside, CA.
Round 4 award allocations:
- Operations & Safety: 95 awards, $6,480,440
- Vehicles: 0 awards, $0
- State Fire Training Academy: 0 awards, $0
Total FY2013 appropriations are $280,163,233: $201,717,528 for Operations & Safety fire grants, $70,040,808 for Vehicle fire grants, and $8,404,897 for State Fire Training Academy fire grants. To-date, 277 fire grants totaling $21,695,498 have been awarded.
