The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced the seventeenth award round for the FY2012 Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response Grants (SAFER).
FEMA awarded $854,560 in Hiring Fire Grants to 3 departments. Award amounts ranged from a $9,800 Recruitment fire grant, awarded to the Argo Fire and Rescue, Trussville, AL, to a $764,610 Hiring fire grant award to the North Chicago Fire Department, North Chicago, IL.
