It’s a big burning question on many minds in the Fire Service: When will 2022 AFG grant awards be announced?
Here are some important things to keep in mind:
FY 2022 AFG AWARDS won’t be announced until sometime in 2023.
Why is that?
Pretty simple: FY 2022 AFG hasn’t opened for applications yet (as of August, 11 2022). FEMA is expected to AFG for applications as early as October 2022, but we are still waiting for firm dates.

AFG grant awards being announced now
All that said, there are AFG fire grants being announced now!
However, those awards are for FY 2021 AFG, not FY 2022.
