FEMA has released rejection letters for the FY2014 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG). Funding award rounds have also been completed.
“If your letter was received on Oct. 26, that’s an indication that you were rejected by the computer,” says Kurt Bradley, Senior Grants Consultant at First Responder Grants. “If you got your notification on Oct. 30, then you went to peer panel you just didn’t score well enough to get into the money.”
AFG expected to open for applications in the next few weeks. Departments wanting to increase their odds of submitting a competitive, fundable grant are advised to contact First Responder Grants and/or attend an upcoming live training session or sign up for our take-anytime online Winning AFG course.
