Many federal fire grants are well known, but grant opportunities don’t end at Washington DC. Grants from nonprofit and private sources can be an ideal opportunity for some departments, as they were for two FDs.
The Leary Firefighter Foundation has awarded fire grants to two First Responder Grants clients:
- Nobleboro Fire Department, Maine, $22,844
- Pomfret-Teago Fire Department, Vermont, $20,216
Each department will use these fire grant awards toward purchasing and installing gear washers/extractors and dryers.
