Grants available for the professional development of fire departments

The Leary Firefighters Foundation considers grant requests for training, equipment, and technology for fire departments in the US. The LFF does not make grants to individuals.

What this grant does for your agency

The LFF provides grants that support fire departments in the following 3 areas:

  1. Training: To enhance the professional development of fire departments.
  2. Equipment: To provide the best of the best equipment to help keep firefighters and the communities they serve safe.
  3. Technology: To ensure that fire departments update along with technological advances.

Agencies awarded the Leary Firefighters Foundation Jeremiah Lucey Fire Grant Program receive grants that typically range from $5,000 to $25,000.

Only a limited number of grants will be awarded.

The Leary Firefighters Foundation was established in 2000 by actor Denis Leary in response to a tragic fire in Worcester, Massachusetts that claimed the lives of his cousin, a childhood friend, and four other brave firefighters. More
