$52 million in AFG awards
On July 12, 2024, FEMA announced Round 1 of FY 2023 fire grant awards under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFGP).
Round 1 awarded 315 AFG fire grant awards, totalling approximately $52 million, to Fire Service organizations across the USA.
All awards were under the Operations and Safety program.
Since 2015 alone, FEMA has awarded nearly 20,000 fire grants under the AFG program.
