Round 1 FY16 SAFER Fire Jobs Grant Winners Announced

Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) GrantsFEMA has announced Round 1 fire jobs grant winners for the FY2016 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER). FEMA awarded 15 fire grants totaling $7,378,861, including:

  • Courtney Volunteer Fire Department Inc., Yadkinville, NC, Hiring, $71,040
  • Town of Bucksport, Bucksport, ME, Hiring, $244,069
  • North Lincoln Fire & Rescue District #1, Lincoln City, OR, Hiring, $428,359
  • City of Forney Fire Department, Forney, TX, Hiring, $809,412
  • City of Flagstaff, Flagstaff Fire Department, Flagstaff, AZ, Hiring, $991,230
