$2,003,091 in AFG fire grants awarded by FEMA
On Sept. 13 and Sept. 20, 2024, FEMA announced Rounds 10 and 11 of FY 2023 fire grant awards under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFGP).
Combined these two rounds awarded 15 AFG fire grant awards, totaling approximately $2,003,091, to Fire Service organizations across the USA.
Of the 15 awards, one Vehicle Acquisition grant for $286,175 was awarded. The other 14 awards, totaling $1,716,916, were awarded under the Operations and Safety program. To date, 1,619 fire grants totaling $289,779,100 have been awarded.
Since 2015 alone, FEMA has awarded over 20,000 fire grants under the AFG program. More award details available here from FEMA.
