$7,064,677 in Fire Grants Awarded in Round 3 AFG 2013

Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG)The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced the third award round for the FY2013 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) fire grants program.

FEMA awarded $7,064,677 to 100 Fire Service organizations throughout the US. Awards ranged from a $6,935 Paid On-Call/Stipend Equipment Fire Grant, awarded to the City of Mackinac Island, Mackinac Island, MI, to a $582,886 All Paid/Career Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Fire Grant, awarded to the City of Melbourne Fire Department, Melbourne, FL.

Round 3 award allocations:

  • Operations & Safety: 100 awards, $7,064,677
  • Vehicles: 0 awards, $0
  • State Fire Training Academy: 0 awards, $0

Total FY2013 appropriations are $280,163,233: $201,717,528 for Operations & Safety fire grants, $70,040,808 for Vehicle fire grants, and $8,404,897 for State Fire Training Academy fire grants.
