Round 4 FY16 SAFER Fire Jobs Grant Winners Announced

Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) GrantsFEMA has announced Round 4 fire jobs grant winners for the FY2016 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER). FEMA awarded 32 fire grants totaling $58,963,640, including:

  • Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department, Cambridge, WI, Recruitment, $61,500
  • Kingston Fire District, Kingston, RI, RI, Recruitment, $168,100
  • Altoona Fire Department, Altoona, IA, Hiring, $714,433
  • City of El Paso – Fire Department, El Paso, TX, Hiring, $2,511,496
  • City of Tampa- Tampa Fire Rescue Department, Tampa, FL, Hiring, $6,082,676
