FEMA has announced Round 7 fire jobs grant winners for the FY2016 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER). FEMA awarded 97 fire grants totaling $61,236,103, including:
- Greenwood Rural Volunteer Fire Dept., Weatherford, TX, Recruitment, $22,600
- Highfalls Fire Rescue Incorporated, Bennett, NC, Recruitment, $154,980
- Oak Creek Fire Department, Oak Creek, WI, Hiring, $533,554
- South Kitsap Fire Rescue, Port Orchard, WA, Hiring, $1,601,762
- City of Phoenix Fire Department, Phoenix, AZ, Hiring, $5,389,627
