$1,804,803 in AFG fire grants awarded by FEMA
On Sept. 6, 2024, FEMA announced Round 9 of FY 2023 fire grant awards under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFGP).
Round 9 awarded 14 AFG fire grant awards, totaling approximately $1,804,803, to Fire Service organizations across the USA.
Of the 14 awards, one Vehicle Acquisition grant for $345,454 was awarded. The other 13 awards, totaling $1,459,349, were awarded under the Operations and Safety program. To date, 1,604 fire grants totaling $287,776,009 have been awarded.
Since 2015 alone, FEMA has awarded over 20,000 fire grants under the AFG program. More award details available here from FEMA.
