Hualapai Nation Emergency Services of Arizona and Beaver Falls Fire Department of Pennsylvania won a combined $236,182 during Round 2 awards from the FY 2017 Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) program.
Beaver Falls FD of Beaver Falls, PA, has been a First Responder Grants client since 2008. They will use their $23,324 fire grant to purchase new fire hose.
In addition to providing fire and EMS services to the Hualapai Tribe in Arizona, Hualapai Nation Emergency Services also operates the Grand Canyon Sky-Walk. They will use their $212,858 AFG fire grant for new cardiac monitors for their ambulances. A First Responder Grants client since 2015, Hualapai Nation Emergency Services also won AFG fire grants in 2015 and 2016, for a grand total of $486,878 in fire grant awards.
AFG fire grants are administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
