Here’s the latest on the FY 2025 AFG, SAFER and FP&S updates:
AFG, SAFER and FP& peer review panels
The knuckle-biting isn’t done yet, but we’re getting there. Peer review panels for AFG, SAFER and FP&S are expected to start the week of July 12 and conclude by July 25.
Estimated award dates
Anticipated award dates for each program:
- AFG: Beginning on approximately August 31, 2026, and continuing thereafter until all FY 2025 AFG Program grant awards are issued (but no later than September 30, 2026)
- SAFER: Beginning on approximately September 14, 2026, and continuing thereafter until all FY 2025 SAFER Program grant awards are issued (but no later than September 30, 2026)
- FP&S: Beginning on approximately September 14, 2026 and continuing thereafter until all FY 2025 FP&S Program grant awards are issued (but no later than September 30, 2026)
Prior grant reporting deadlines
For prior FEMA grant recipients, including AFG, SAFER and FP&S, the SF-425 Federal Financial Report and the Semi-Annual Performance Report is due no later than July 30, 2026.
