Now that DHS has gotten funded, we expect the AFG, SAFER and FP&S programs to open in the coming weeks. Being this late in the year, we wouldn’t be surprised if the three programs open very close to each other or at the same time.
We have seen payment requests that have been submitted being made to departments on awards. If you have amendments or extension requests for prior years grants, get them submitted, as they are taking time to approve.
This is the time to start working on the narratives and getting quotes. Make sure the department’s SAMs is updated and active. The NOFO has not been released yet.
